About
Us
The mission
of Life Cycles Center is to provide educational programs on natural
cycles of life. This began when Eileen Stewart,CNM and her sister
Rae Frank birthed Life Cycles in 1999. They provided health
education programs and established Girl Talk, a 6 week program directed
at girls ages 11-16.
In October 2002,
Life Cycles Center matured by becoming incorporated as a not-for-profit,
501 (c)(3).
In 2007, Life
Cycles received its latest grant, allowing the Center to continue
to provide health education to girls of all ethnic backgrounds in
the Western New York area. With the monies provided, Life
Cycles was able to maintain a quality space and opportunity for
these young women to understand their unique life cycles.
In 2007/2008,
the board of directors consists of 15 professionals from the Buffalo
area including midwives, yoga instructors, doulas, business professionals,
lawyers, physicians, nutritionists, and acupuncturists. They all
share the sole interest of providing programs and support in the
area of Life Cycles Center, be it the beginning, middle or the end
of life.
We now provide
advanced directive services, doula training, childbirth classes,
breastfeeding classes, infant massage classes, nutrition and cooking
classes and yoga classes.
Life
Cycles Center provides services to all individuals regardless
of sex, race, sexual orientation, religion, and/or class.
